(Greensburg, IN) – Greensburg Community High School (GCHS) senior Tyler Williams is the January Optimist Youth of the Month.

He is the son of Lora and Tim Williams, and is at the top of his class with a 3.98 GPA after seven semesters at GCHS.

Williams’ transcript includes four years of advanced coursework especially in math, science, and engineering classes. He will earn his Indiana College Core and Academic and Technical Honors diploma.

Williams is a three-year varsity football letterman whose accomplishments also include serving on the Leadership Council and earning both the No Quarter Award and the Chasing Greatness Award.

He is also a four-season varsity swimming letterman, recognized as the 2024 Most Improved Swimmer. Williams holds school records as a member of the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay teams and was named EIAC All-Conference in 2025.

A 10-year 4-H member, Williams has also spent six years in Junior Leaders and currently serves as president of the Future Builders Club.
