
Timothy N. ‘Snake’ Knecht, age 66, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Envive Healthcare of Brookville following a lengthy illness.
Born May 27, 1960, in Batesville, Indiana he was the son of the late Robert G. & Bonnie R. (Ford) Knecht.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville, as well as the Sons of the American Legion, Bernard Hurst Post #77.
Tim was retired having worked in construction. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and frying chicken at the American Legion.
Survivors include Linda Gaston his life partner of over 30 years, two children, Kelly (J.D.) Krouse of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Jamie (Heather) Knecht of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, Nicholas Krouse, Catherine Krouse, Grace Krouse, Lauren Krouse, Brooklyn Krouse, Logan Knecht, Lindsey Knecht, Chloe Knecht, and Lucas Knecht; three sisters, Denise (Ken) Handley, Deborah Tolson, Bobbie (Eric) Princell, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Knecht
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Knecht, a brother-in-law, Terry Tolson, a niece, Angala Jones, as well as a nephew, Chad Handley
Family & friends may visit from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville, where the Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M.
Rev. Santhosh Yohannan will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 18, 2026, 11:00 A.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 East St. Michaels Blvd., Brookville. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery in Brookville.
