The Batesville Bombers 8U softball team won a tournament over the weekend in Edgewood.
Saturday’s games were called off, so all of the teams played four games on Sunday.
In Game 1 (pool play), Batesville hammered Ben Davis 15-2; Game 2 (also pool play), the Bombers walloped Center Grove 14-3; in Game 3 (bracket play), Batesville bounced Center Grove 14-6, and in the championship game, it was the Bombers over Broad Ripple 12-8.
The Bombers were the #1 seed in the tournament at the start of bracket play.
Only nine girls played due to several team members on vacation.
