Streak Ends At Three

(Indianapolis) – Brandon Ingram scored 30 points and the Toronto Raptors built a huge early lead, then withstood a late Indiana charge to beat the Pacers 115-101 Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Toronto never trailed, taking control with a dominant first quarter and stretching the advantage as high as 27 points before Indiana finally found traction in the second half.

The Pacers made it a game in the fourth, trimming the deficit to single digits and briefly threatening to erase the Raptors’ cushion. But with Indiana closing in late, Ingram answered with back-to-back 3-pointers to steady Toronto and swing momentum back the other way.

Scottie Barnes finished with 26 points and 13 assists for the Raptors, while Gradey Dick provided a big lift off the bench with 21 points and 11 rebounds as Toronto improved to 3-0 against Indiana this season.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Andrew Nembhard scored 14, and Quenton Jackson added 14 points in just under 19 minutes off the bench.

Johnny Furphy recorded his first NBA double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Jarace Walker chipped in 11 off the bench, but Indiana’s three-game winning streak came to an end.

The Pacers wrap up their four-game homestand Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
