Purdue enters the matchup at 15-1 overall and 5-0 in Big Ten play, while the Hawkeyes come in at 12-4 and 2-3 as the conference grind starts to tighten up.
Boilermakers head coach Matt Painter knows there’s no such thing as an easy night against Iowa, saying the Hawkeyes are always a challenge because they “play in a tough system.”
For Iowa, the big task is trying to slow down a Purdue team that’s been rolling at home and finds ways to score from all over the floor. The Hawkeyes also haven’t had much luck in West Lafayette lately — Purdue has won six straight against Iowa inside Mackey, with Iowa’s last win there coming back in 2016.
Tipoff tonight is set for 6:30 Eastern.
