Batesville High School will honor Athletic Director Mark Ferguson who is retiring at the end of the school year.

For nearly 20 years, Ferguson has led the athletic department that has grown to include more sports, and has also directed athletic programs at Batesville Middle School for the past several years.

Among other duties, Ferguson has provided guidance for sports programs, determined schedules for games and practices including those that get rescheduled due to weather, and maintained a medical file on each student-athlete.

“I not only had the pleasure of working with Mark while I was still coaching, but have enjoyed working with him as a volunteer,” Raver explained.

The high school will honor Ferguson on Saturday afternoon between the JV and Varsity basketball game vs. East Central. The JV game begins at 1 p.m.
