(Batesville, IN) — Batesville Intermediate School Principal Dana Cassidy will step down at the end of 2026 to accept a position in nonprofit leadership.
Batesville Community School Corporation announced the move Thursday.
Cassidy said serving at BIS has been one of her greatest joys and that she is grateful her new opportunity will allow her to continue serving local families in a different capacity.
She was named Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) District 10 Elementary School Principal of the Year in 2024.
The school corporation thanked Cassidy for her many years of service to Batesville Community School Corporation.
Officials said the search for a new Batesville Intermediate School principal will begin soon, with additional details to be announced later.
