Ferdinand, In. — Two people were hurt in a small plane crash in southern Indiana Monday night according to Indiana State Police.
A white and blue, 1966 Cessna 150, single engine, fixed-wing airplane crashed on the MasterBrand Cabinet’s parking lot located at 624 West 3rd Street, Ferdinand. After the initial impact, the aircraft struck an embankment and overturned.
The crash did minimal damage to the embankment, no employees were injured and efforts were made to minimize the disruption of the work shift.
The pilot, Gegory Solsrud, 52, and passenger, Winston Solsrud, 18 both of Georgia, were transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
The FAA and NTSB are assisting in the investigation.
