(Statehouse) – State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) presented a road renaming resolution last week to the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation at the Statehouse to honor the life of Private First-Class Tony Seig of Sunman.

Seig was a graduate of East Central High School who lost his life at the age of 19 while serving in Baghdad, Iraq.

The resolution would rename the bridge over the East Fork of Tanners Creek on State Road 46 in northern Dearborn County to honor PFC Seig.

“He made the ultimate sacrifice to defend his country, and this renaming will ensure he is not forgotten,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell represents Senate District 43 which includes Dearborn, Ohio, Switzerland, Jefferson, and Scott counties, and a portion of Jennings County.
