SUNMAN, IN — The Sunman Food Pantry will be closed this Saturday.
The food pantry is housed at St. John’s United Church of Christ at Penntown, but the church has its Chicken Dinner every year on the second Sunday of September.
“Those ladies like to have the hall free so they can get ready,” said Sandy Wagner, who operates the pantry. “We are always closed that day, which this year happens to be 9/11.”
Wagner said the food pantry will reopen on September 18.
The Sunman Food Pantry is open most Saturdays from 9 until 11 am.
