Mid-Ohio INDYCAR Weekend Set

NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

(Lexington, OH) The NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend for one of the most familiar stops on the series calendar.

The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Presented by the 2027 CR-V Hybrid is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, on the 13-turn, 2.258-mile permanent road course in Lexington, Ohio.

The race will cover 90 laps and 203.22 miles. It is the 11th race of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.

Sunday’s race is scheduled to go green at 12:52 p.m. ET, with coverage on FOX beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET. The command to start engines is set for 12:45 p.m.

Scott Dixon enters the weekend as the defending race winner and the most successful INDYCAR driver in Mid-Ohio history. Dixon has won seven times at the track, including victories in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2025.

This year’s field includes several past Mid-Ohio winners, including Dixon, Josef Newgarden, Graham Rahal, Alexander Rossi, Will Power, Colton Herta, Scott McLaughlin, Alex Palou and Pato O’Ward.

There have been five winners through the first 10 races of the 2026 season: Alex Palou, Josef Newgarden, Kyle Kirkwood, Christian Lundgaard and Felix Rosenqvist.

The weekend also includes an INDY NXT by Firestone doubleheader. Race 1 is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, while Race 2 is scheduled for Sunday morning.

Rookies Caio Collet, Dennis Hauger and Mick Schumacher are scheduled to race an NTT INDYCAR SERIES car at Mid-Ohio for the first time this weekend. Hauger and Collet have both previously won INDY NXT races at the track.

Practice for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES begins Friday afternoon. A second practice is set for Saturday morning, followed by qualifying Saturday afternoon.

Dixon will also attempt to extend his record consecutive-start streak. A start Sunday would be his 367th consecutive start and his 430th overall in the INDYCAR SERIES.
