Osgood, IN—Anjali Fong (known by many as Fong) has announced her book Ripley 200 will be released beginning Monday, October 14. Those who have been a part of the project are invited to a special celebration 4-6pm at Voldico Insurance, 420 S. Buckeye St., Osgood, Indiana. The public is invited to join the party from 6-8pm that evening.
The exhibition, with large prints of some of the subjects in the project and copies of the book to view will be open Tuesday-Friday, October 15-18 from 3-6pm each day. Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20, the exhibition will be open 1-6pm each day.
200 Ripley County, Indiana residents are featured in the book, photographed by Professional Photographer Anjali Fong. The hardback book included a short paragraph of those who were photographed.
Ripley 200 began as a Ripley County Bicentennial project, and became a labor of love for the next two years as she met and photographed so many Ripley County residents who were suggested by their friends, co-workers, and others. “The book and exhibition are opportunities for us all to get to know each other better,” Fong noted. A limited number of copies will be available to purchase during the exhibition.
The professional photographer, who is from Malaysia, has lived with her husband, Asher, in Versailles for 10 years. Sponsors for the project include the Ripley County Tourism Bureau, the Ripley County Community Foundation, Voldico Insurance, The Napoleon State Bank, and Enhanced Telecommunications Corporation.
