Osgood, IN — Jac-Cen-Del Schools has a new Superintendent.
Sam Melton comes to JCD from South Dearborn Middle School, where he currently serves as Principal.
The 49-year-old Melton won the job over five other candidates – and happens to be a 1992 graduate of South Ripley High School.
Melton will begin his new duties with Jac-Cen-Del schools before January 1.
He replaces former Superintendent Ryan Middleton, who resigned in July.
High School Principal Fred Unsicker served as Interim Superintendent between Middleton’s resignation and Melton’s hiring.
Unsicker will return to his duties at the high school.
