
(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County REMC linemen showcased their skill, safety, and dedication at the Indiana Electric Cooperative Lineman Rodeo, held August 21–22 in Danville, Indiana.
The two-day event showcased the skills and safety training of electric cooperative lineworkers.
One team and four individuals competed in events including pole climbing, hurt man rescue and safely changing electric line hardware.
A total of 35 teams and 131 individuals from 26 Indiana electric cooperatives competed in this year’s event.
Representing Decatur County REMC were:
• Collin Crabtree, Journeyman Lineman, 2nd Place Skill Climb
• Caleb Litmer, Apprentice Lineman, 2nd Place Overall Apprentice Lineman, 1st Place Hurt Man Rescue, and 1st Place Egg Climb
• Evan Tallent, Apprentice Lineman, 3rd Place Overall Apprentice Lineman
• Joe Vanderbur, Journeyman Lineman

The Indiana Electric Cooperative Lineman Rodeo recognizes and rewards excellence in safety, skill and knowledge in the lineworker field.
