Mrs. Mary Ann (Collins) Jackson, age 79, of Leesburg, Florida, entered this life on December 10, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late William Garret and Mary Marie (Watson) Collins. Mary Ann was united in marriage on May 7, 1964 to Leon Jackson Jr. in Cincinnati, Ohio. This happy union of 51 years was blessed with three children. Mary Ann was a former Licensed Practical Nurse for several years. She was a former member of the Brookville Order of Eastern Star Chapter #449 and the Aberdeen United Methodist Church. Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family. Mary Ann passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Hearthstone at Leesburg in Leesburg, Florida.
Mary Ann will be missed by her daughter, Anita “Michelle” Scott and her husband, Mark of The Villages, FL; her sons, Leon Jackson III. and his wife, Robbin of Rising Sun, IN, and James Earl Jackson and his wife, Aimee of Guilford, IN; her grandchildren, Kayla, Crystal, Jenny, Amber, Justin, Colby, Madison, Tyler, Mia, and Inara; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Aiden, Kolton, Christian, Olivia, Kennedy, Kaiden, and Remedy; her sister, Karen King and her husband, Bob of Rising Sun, IN; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Garret Collins, died January 21, 1972; her mother, Mary Marie (Watson) Collins, died January 17, 1970; her husband, Leon Jackson, Jr., died July 18, 2015; and her sisters, Alice Faye Sudduth, died April 22, 2019, and Billie Jean Lewis, died June 3, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery, East Enterprise, Indiana.
