(Greensburg, IN) – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a juvenile who was pulled from a private pond in Greensburg on Friday, July 17.
It was shortly before 9 p.m. when Conservation Officers were notified by Decatur County Central Dispatch that a juvenile had been found unconscious in a private pond.
A parent located the youth unresponsive near a dock, initiated life-saving measures, and the juvenile was transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
The juvenile was pronounced dead at the hospital on Thursday, July 23.
An autopsy conducted by the Hamilton County (Ohio) Coroner’s Office determined the preliminary cause of death to be drowning.
