Bettye Faye (Bradley) Rose, age 77 Greensburg

Bettye Faye Rose, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, January 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 4, 1947, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of the late Howard and Viola (Mink) Bradley.

As a child, Bettye moved with her family from Mount Vernon, Kentucky, to New Marion, Indiana. She attended school in New Marion and proudly graduated as a member of the Holton Warhorses Class of 1966.

Bettye lived in Greensburg, Indiana, for many years, dedicating her life to her family and her work. She was a talented homemaker who loved cooking, canning, sewing, and crocheting. A devoted single mother, Bettye always ensured her children had a loving home, a roof over their heads, and meals on the table, even with limited means.

Her first job was gathering eggs for Thayer’s Hatchery, and she later worked at Gecom in Greensburg for over 20 years. Bettye had an unwavering desire to better herself and exemplified strength, resilience, and love throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Rose (Andria) and James Rose; her daughter, Tina Rose; her brothers, Bobby Bradley (Nathetta), Billie Bradley, and Doug Bradley (Margie); her sisters, Erma Combs (David), Nancy Brandt (John), Mary Beverly (Roger), and Inia Hill; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Rebecca, Ariel, Hanna, James Jr., and Paul; and her great-grandchildren, Corey and Aurora.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen; her sister-in-law, Brenda Bradley; and her brother-in-law, Kenny Hill.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Brother John Lohrum officiating.
