(Franklin/Ripley Counties, IN) – United Way of Franklin and Ripley Counties is gearing up for the annual Coats for Kids drive.
For the past 32 years, this program has helped keep students in the community warm by collecting and distributing new and gently used winter coats.
After implementing changes during the pandemic with both students and community members in mind, the organization will purchase new coats and has started raising money to fund the project.
Since United Way extended its outreach into Ripley County, the organization has been able to provide coats to children in Batesville, Brookville, Jac-Cen-Del, Laurel, Milan, Mt. Carmel, and South Ripley schools.
