St. Louis took on St. Michael on Thursday evening. The 7th grade team battled all the way but lost in two sets with scores of 21-25 and 25-27. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Kristen Obermeyer with 11 points, including 10 aces. Heidi Schneider added 7 points with 5 aces, and Claire Baker contributed 5 points with 4 aces. Claire Baker added 3 kills and Heidi Schneider had 2 kills. Defensively, Lucy Brelage came up with 2 blocks.
The 8th grade team came up with a win in two sets with scores of 25-10 and 25-14. Kristen Obermeyer was the top scorer again with 10 points, including 6 aces. Natalie Kranz added 9 points with 4 aces. Emma Hunter, Grace Hardebeck, Lydia Dwyer, Reagan Siefert, and Alice Austin had 1 kill apiece. Defensively, Bella Watson came up with 2 digs.
The Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday 9/3 at Greensburg Middle School at 5:30 pm.
