South Decatur hosted the 2026 baseball awards banquet Wednesday night at the high school.
The Cougars of head coach Anthony Jarvis finished the 2026 season at 17-7 and won the Mid-Hoosier Conference championship.
Award winners were Drake Scaggs (Most Improved); Garrett Huckelberry (Mental Attitude); Cayden Drake (Most Valuable Player, Top Pitcher, State of Indiana strike out leader); Grady Scudder (Defensive Award, State of Indiana best defensive percentage), and Cory Nugent (Offensive Award, most stolen bases in Class 1A).
