SIYMCA receives grant for summer camp

Diane Raver, Southeastern Indiana YMCA Fund Development Coordinator and Kelly Bulmer, United Way of Franklin County Executive Director.

Batesville, IN — The United Way of Franklin County awarded $10,000 in COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funding to the Southeastern Indiana YMCA. Grants were made possible through a partnership between Lilly Endowment, Inc. and Indiana United Ways, the state professional association of which United Way of Franklin County is a member. The grants were open to organizations in Franklin and Ripley Counties.

The investment will support youth in our community through discounted fees for children attending the Southeastern Indiana YMCA summer day camp.

Summer Camp at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA is for children entering grade 1 through age 12. Parents/guardians can sign their child up for one week, two weeks, or all ten weeks of camp. Each week of camp incorporates a new theme and activities may include swimming, hiking, fishing, crafts, STEAM projects, games, and more. More information on summer camp may be found by visiting www.siymca.org or by calling the YMCA Learning Center at 812-932-1415.
