Decatur and Franklin Counties fall back to Yellow advisory this week

Southeastern, IN — Decatur and Franklin Counties are back in Yellow on the State’s Covid-19 metric map.

Ripley and Dearborn Counties continue to stay in the Blue 2-week metric score this week on the state’s color-coded Covid-19 metric map.

Decatur and Franklin Counties are in Yellow advisory status as well. At Yellow status, events and gatherings can take place at a 50% capacity when all other guidelines such as social distancing, face coverings, and plans to mitigate Covid-19 are in place. Social gatherings levels are limited to 100 people. Advisory level refers to the current guidelines the county must follow.

Ripley and Dearborn Counties remain in Blue statutes. At Blue status, events and gatherings can take place at a 100% capacity when all other guidelines such as social distancing, face coverings, and plans to mitigate Covid-19 are in place. While in blue, there are to be no events over 250 people. Event Plans for gatherings greater than 250 people are allowed to be submitted and approved by Ripley County Health Department per Indiana Governor, but these plans cannot exceed 100% of the venue’s capacity.

o 7-day positivity rate – 1.44% – down from 1.45% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 24 – same from the previous week

• Franklin County –Yellow Advisory
o 7-day positivity rate – 6.76% – up from 3.82% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 43 – up from 35 the previous week

• Decatur County – Blue Advisory
o 7-day positivity rate – 6.27% – up from 2.22% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 64 – up from 56 the previous week

• Dearborn County- Blue Advisory
o 7-day positivity rate – 3.47% – down from 3.51% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 50 – up from 44 the previous week
