BATESVILLE, Ind. – Maintenance crews are making progress on the replacement of a bridge on S.R. 229 at Hillcrest Country Club in Batesville.
Area drivers have been forced to access downtown Batesville from a different route since the project officially got underway September 29.
Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) officials tell us the work will continue into late November.
Paul H. Rohe Company, the state’s contractor for the $758,000 project, is removing and replacing the bridge that spans over Little Laughery Creek with a new structure that will measure 28 feet by 13 feet, extending 54 feet in length.
