St. Leon, IN — Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian McFee as the new Assistant Principal at East Central High School. McFee will officially begin his duties on July 20, 2026.
McFee brings more than 25 years of experience in education to East Central High School. Most recently, he served as Associate Principal at Batesville High School after previously serving as Principal at Oldenburg Academy. Throughout his career, he has also served as an assistant principal, athletic director, teacher, and coach, building extensive experience in instructional leadership, school operations, student services, staff development, and community engagement.
His professional experience includes leadership in instructional improvement, school operations, student services, school safety, personnel supervision, strategic planning, facilities oversight, and community engagement. He is recognized as a collaborative leader who values strong relationships, high expectations, and creating an environment where all students can thrive.
McFee earned a Master of Educational Administration from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical and Health Education from Malone College. He holds Indiana administrative licensure for grades 9–12 and principal certification in Ohio.
“Brian’s extensive experience as an educational leader and his student-centered approach make him an outstanding addition to East Central High School,” said Superintendent Andrew Jackson. “He understands the importance of building positive relationships, supporting teachers, and creating opportunities for every student to succeed.
