Decatur Co. Fair Report for Saturday, July 11, 2026

Saturday brings one of the busiest schedules of the week at the Decatur County Fair, featuring livestock competitions, family activities, live entertainment and the annual demolition derby.

The day’s livestock events begin at 9 a.m. with the Horse and Pony Show, the Rabbit Show and Showmanship Contest, and the Swine Show. The Beef Showmanship Born and Bred Show follows at 3:30 p.m. in the Livestock Pavilion.

Families can start the morning at the Baby Show, which begins at 8:45 a.m. on the Community Building Stage. The Community Building will reopen later in the day from 4 to 10 p.m.

The Farm and Home Building will be open from 1 to 9 p.m., giving visitors the opportunity to view open class exhibits and projects. The building will also host a performance by Fishers of Men at 6 p.m.

The midway opens at 5 p.m., with rides and games available throughout the evening.

Saturday’s featured grandstand event is the ToastPromotions.com Demo Derby. Gates open at 4 p.m., with derby action beginning at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10, pit admission is $25, and children ages 5 and younger are admitted free.
