Batesville, In. — The Margaret Mary Health Foundation was recently the recipient of a generous donation from Cook Performance. The $681 donation will benefit the Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund.
During a recent fitness challenge, participants were encouraged to incorporate various aspects of a healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, tobacco and alcohol abstinence, into their daily living. The challenge also incorporated a more altruistic component which can help lead to a healthy lifestyle – giving. “During our Giving Week, we knew we wanted to donate our proceeds to a cancer-related organization, which is where Margaret Mary’s Cancer Center came into play. Our community is extremely blessed to have access to such a quality cancer treatment facility,” says Jeremy Cook, Owner of Cook Performance.
“We appreciate Cook Performance for incorporating a week of giving into their fitness challenge. Thanks to Jeremy, his staff and all their clients whose generous donations to the Health Foundation will enable us to continue providing grants for important cancer care initiatives that benefit our communities,” says Mary Dickey, Foundation Executive Director.
Margaret Mary’s Health Foundation was established in 2012 to raise money to enhance hospital programs, services, technology and educational opportunities, and to engage the community as partners in health improvement. The Foundation’s role is to receive, manage and disburse funds to meet current hospital needs as well as ensure long-term growth and viability.
