(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is pleased to announce that Kristol Hadler, BSN, RN, has assumed an expanded leadership role as Executive Director, Nursing and Operations.
Hadler’s appointment reflects a career marked by dedication to patient care, professional growth, and a deep commitment to serving the community. Throughout her tenure at DCMH, she has advanced through multiple clinical and leadership roles, gaining valuable experience across a variety of healthcare settings.
Hadler began her healthcare career at DCMH as an EMT, before becoming a paramedic, then a registered nurse. She then served patients in the Emergency Department, where she developed a strong foundation in acute patient care. Hadler later transitioned to Cancer Care, where she supported patients navigating complex treatment journeys and eventually served as Cancer Care Nurse Navigator, helping coordinate care and guide patients through every stage of treatment.
Her passion for patient-centered care and operational excellence led her into leadership, where she served as the Cancer Care Manager and, most recently, as Director of Outpatient Services. In that role, Hadler provided oversight for multiple outpatient departments while helping drive operational improvements, support staff development, and strengthen collaboration across teams.
“Kristol’s expanded leadership role reflects her strong clinical and operational expertise, collaborative leadership style, and ability to drive meaningful performance outcomes,” said Rex McKinney, President and CEO of Decatur County Memorial Hospital. “Throughout her career, Kristol has demonstrated impactful leadership by supporting staff, operational improvements, and ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes. I’m confident she will continue contributing to the success of DCMH in this new role.”
As Executive Director, Nursing and Operations, Hadler will continue providing leadership across all nursing services and operational functions while supporting DCMH’s commitment to exceptional patient care, quality outcomes, and organizational excellence.
For Hadler, the opportunity is especially meaningful because it allows her to build upon the relationships and experiences she has developed throughout her career at DCMH.
“Having had the ability to serve patients in a variety of roles throughout my career, I’ve gained a unique perspective on the many ways our team impacts the lives of those we serve,” said Hadler. “I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing to serve our community, support our staff, and strengthen collaboration across departments at DCMH.”
Hadler’s journey from frontline caregiver to executive leadership reflects DCMH’s commitment to developing leaders from within and investing in the people who make exceptional care possible.
As healthcare continues to evolve, DCMH remains focused on maintaining strong clinical leadership, supporting its workforce, and ensuring patients throughout the region have access to high-quality care close to home.
