(Greensburg, IN) – The City of Greensburg and its Police Fire departments will host the annual National Night Out event on Thursday, August 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at North Park.
Officials say this free community event will bring together residents, local and state first responders, military members, and community partners for an evening of connection, education, and fun.
In addition, organizers say National Night Out provides an opportunity for residents to connect with the men and women who serve and protect the Greensburg community every day.
“The event creates a welcoming environment for residents, especially children, to meet first responders, learn more about the important roles they play, and build positive relationships with the public safety teams who serve Greensburg,” the city said in a statement. “It is also a time to recognize and show appreciation for the dedication and service of our first responders and military members.”
The evening will feature free food, live music, family-friendly games, vendors, and demonstrations by public safety teams.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Greensburg Police and Fire departments, Decatur County EMS, and other public safety partners.
