(Greensburg, IN) – Police cars, fire trucks and first responders will share the spotlight with food, music and family activities when National Night Out returns to Greensburg later this month.
The Tree City and its Police and Fire departments will host the annual event on Thursday, August 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at North Park.
Organizers say this free community event will bring together residents, local and state first responders, military members, and community partners for an evening of connection, education, and fun.
In addition, organizers say National Night Out provides an opportunity for residents to connect with the men and women who serve and protect the Greensburg community every day.
Organizers say National Night Out gives residents — particularly children — an opportunity to meet the people who serve their community, learn about their work and develop positive relationships with public-safety personnel.
The evening also serves as a chance to recognize first responders and military members for their service.
National Night Out will feature free food, live music, family-friendly games, vendors, and demonstrations by public safety teams.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Greensburg Police and Fire departments, Decatur County EMS, and other public safety partners.
