(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Lucas Garvey to Lieutenant Firefighter.
Garvey has been with the department for just over four years and has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the safety and well-being of the Batesville community.
In addition to joining the Batesville Fire Department, Garvey serves as Lieutenant and Training Officer at Sunman Rural Fire Department.
Garvey has received extensive training and holds certifications in technical rescue, Fire Officer II, Instructor I, and Advanced EMT. He regularly attends fire conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest firefighting techniques and technologies.
“Lucas has a passion for the craft that runs very deep and he will no doubt succeed in his new role.” said Fire Chief Brian Hardebeck.
Garvey is married to his best friend, Mary and they have a beautiful daughter, Madalyn Mae. They are expecting a baby boy in August. In his spare time, Garvey enjoys being outdoors hunting, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
The Batesville Fire Department congratulates Lieutenant Firefighter Garvey on his promotion and looks forward to his continued service to the community.
