FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — Two people have been arrested on multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Franklin County.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Teresa S. Thomas, 43, and Clifford R. Yingst Jr., 47, both of Metamora, were traveling on State Road 229 in Peppertown.
Deputies stopped the car during an investigation into suspected drug activity.
During the stop, deputies found around 4 grams of a synthetic drug known as spice, as well as associated paraphernalia.
The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a residence in Metamora, where more spice was found along with legend drugs and paraphernalia.
Both Thomas and Yingst were arrested on the charges of Possession of a Legend Drug, Possession of a Synthetic Drug, and Possession of Paraphernalia, while Thomas also faces the charge of Dealing of a Synthetic Drug.
