(Greensburg, IN) – More than a dozen homes in Greensburg were evacuated after a gas leak at the corner of Main and North Lathrop Street prompted a response from emergency crews on Saturday.
The incident forced responders to close Main Street (State Road 46) from Lincoln to Vine around 10:30 a.m. while the leak was investigated.
CenterPoint Energy capped the leak and made repairs.
Residents of the area were temporarily displaced as a precaution.
Once the “all clear” was given around Noon, Main Street reopened to traffic.
