(Ripley County, IN) – Early voting in Ripley County is being held weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Election Room at the Annex, prior to the May 7 primary election.
Several contested local, state and federal races are on the ballot.
Among the local races, there are Republican primaries in both County Commissioner districts 2 and 3; eight Republicans are vying for the right to run for three At-Large County Council seats in November, and two Republican Coroner candidates are on the ballot.
Saturday voting is set for April 27 and May 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Election Room.
In addition, early Saturday voting will be held on April 27 from 9-4 at the Sunman American Legion, and on May 4 from 9-4 at Shelby Christian Church in Versailles.
The last day to vote in person absentee is Monday, May 6 between 8 am and Noon in the Election Room.
For the first time, Ripley County will use the Vote Center system on Election Day this year. Registered voters may cast ballots at any vote center in the county that day.
The polls will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
