Batesville Tool & Die Hosts Local Manufacturing Students

(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Tool & Die welcomed Greensburg High School Technical Instructor Michael Wilds and 25 of his students for a talk about manufacturing as it relates to industry on Friday, April 19.

Toby Walsman discussed how manufacturing originated in 1785 when Oliver Evans started the first flour mill company in America. Walsman also addressed the future of manufacturing and potential challenges down the road.

He stressed the importance of excelling in education and commended the students for taking the first step in choosing a career path.

After the presentation, the students toured the BT&D facility.
