Batesville, In. — Trash collection rates for Batesville residents will increase in January of 2018.
In the last year of the current contract with Rumpke, residents have been charged $11 per month. In January that rate will increase to $12.70 per month for curb side pickup.
According to the new three year contract with Rumpke the rate will increase 20-cents per year through 2020. In 2019 the rate will be $12.90 and in 2020 the rate will increase to $13.10. Resident will still use resident provided receptacles as part of the renewed deal. The contract also includes one “heavy trash” pickup once every three months.
Indianapolis-based Best Way and C.G.S. Services from Morristown also submitted bids for trash collection.
