‘National Public Lands Day’ brings free park admission

Indianapolis, In. — In observance of National Public Lands Day admission to Indiana state parks will be waived Saturday, September 30. National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort on public lands.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has volunteer projects available at Brookville Lake, Turkey Run State Park, Raccoon State Recreation Area, Brown County State Park, Spring Mill, Quabache State Park, O’Bannon Woods and Tippecanoe River State Park.

Hiking, pioneer activities, crafts and live bird shows will also be available.
