Judge upholds special session law; dispute expected to end up in IN Supreme Court

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — A Marion County judge has upheld a state law that allows the Indiana General Assembly to call itself into special session during a public emergency.

Governor Eric Holcomb challenged the law several months ago, saying it violates the state’s constitution, but the judge disagreed with that argument.

However, this isn’t necessarily the end of the dispute.

Experts believe the case will eventually end up going before the Indiana Supreme Court.
