(Greensburg, IN) – Greensburg Police are urging you to be aware of a scam in which someone posing as a DEA agent calls and says you have an active warrant with GPD.
Officers say the scammer demands that you pay money to keep from being arrested.
The Greensburg Police Department says it’s been reported in some instances that the agency’s phone number shows up on caller ID.
GPD says it does not solicit any form of payment over the phone, and doesn’t engage in transactions involving warrants.
