Clara Lois Schrader (Lois), age 85, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Greensburg, Indiana.
Lois was born on March 24, 1941, in Batesville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edmund and Eleanor (Waechter) Kleimeyer.
On November 21, 1964, she married William Albert Schrader at St. Louis Church in Batesville, where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2014.
A registered nurse, Lois attended Marian College before earning her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing. She dedicated many years of her career to caring for patients as a Med-Surg nurse at Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
She is survived by her children: Christopher Schrader, Greg Schrader, and Barb Schrader. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; brothers: Gerald and Paul Kleimeyer, and sister, Jeanette Kleimeyer.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11:00 am all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville.
Burial will follow at St. Louis Church Cemetery in Batesville.
