(Greensburg, IN) – A Greensburg man who cut off his home detention ankle monitor last week was arrested at a home on the 100 block of West Forsythe Street Tuesday morning.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says Seth Foerster removed his monitor last Thursday. He’s required by court order to wear it while facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 5 felony), and Habitual Offender;
  • Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 felony);
  • Unlawful Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 felony);
  • Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A misdemeanor), and,
  • Possession of Marijuana (Class A misdemeanor).

Authorities say because he removed his ankle monitor, an Escape charge (Level 6 felony) was filed and an arrest warrant was issued.

With the help of U.S. Marshals and the Indianapolis Metro Police Department Fugitive Task Force, Foerster was tracked down, arrested at the home on West Forsythe Street in Greensburg, and taken to the Decatur County Detention Center without incident.

The 100 block of West Forsythe was blocked off by deputies while the arrest warrant was being executed.

No one was injured during the operation.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office is thanking the U. S. Marshals Service; Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department; Greensburg Police Department; Decatur County Court Services, and Decatur County Communications for their assistance in capturing Foerster.
