(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Commissioners this week agreed to act as sponsors for the Decatur County Family YMCA’s grant application for funds to repair the Y’s roof.
The total cost of the project is more than $1 million but the Y plans to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) for a $500,000 matching grant.
Only a city, county, or town government entity can apply for the OCRA grant, according to the state agency’s rules, and the Commissioners agreed to sponsor the Y’s application.
