Batesville Community Schools have played an important role in my family’s life. My wife and I raised our son and daughter in this school system, and we’ve had the privilege of watching them grow through our local schools. My wife has dedicated more than 30 years to teaching elementary students, giving me a firsthand appreciation for the commitment, compassion, and hard work our teachers and school staff bring to the classroom every day.
I am not an educator, and I’m not running because I believe I know how to teach better than our teachers or manage our administrators. I respect the professionals who have dedicated their careers to education.
What I do offer is more than 30 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer. Throughout my career, I’ve learned how to solve problems, manage budgets, work with people from different backgrounds, and make thoughtful decisions based on facts rather than opinions. Those are skills I believe are valuable for a school board trustee.
I’m not running to change the direction of our schools or promote a personal agenda. I’m running to be an independent voice who listens carefully, studies facts, asks thoughtful questions, respects different viewpoints, and makes decisions based on what is best for our students, our taxpayers, and our community.
The values that guide me today are the same values I was raised with—hard work, honesty, and treating people with respect. Those values have shaped my career, my family, and my commitment to serving our community.

Leadership That Delivers Results
In 2010, Rob helped provide leadership and guidance in developing practical solutions to complex heating and cooling challenges.
The improvements increased comfort throughout the facility, significantly reduced electrical and natural gas usage, and delayed the need for major equipment replacement for nearly ten years.
Rob hopes to bring that same experience in problem-solving, resource management, and careful planning to the Batesville Community Schools Board of Trustees.
Values That Endure
As a young adult, Rob had the opportunity to visit the White House while serving in a position that required a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
The values that shaped Rob as a young adult—integrity, responsibility, and service—continue to guide him today.
Country First
After graduating from high school, Rob chose to serve his country by joining the United States Army as an Infantry Soldier before pursuing higher education.
That decision reflected a belief that serving something greater than yourself is both an honor and a responsibility belief that continues to guide him today.
