Barbara Lee “Barb” (Gorman) Ontiveros, 81, of Studio City, California, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026. Barb was born on Tuesday, January 23, 1945, in Cincinnati; daughter of Russell and Lauralouise (Rettig) Gorman. Barb married Richard Ontiveros on May 8, 1992, and he preceded her on August 4, 2010. She worked as a supervisor for the assembly line as G&H Aerospace. She enjoyed painting ceramics, cooking, and going camping. She also loved playing poker with her family and gambling in Las Vegas. In her free time, she enjoyed reading ,watching game shows and her favorite soap operas. She was known to support many groups, charities, and the local Catholic churches in her area. Most of all, Barb loved spending time with her family.
Barb will be missed by her stepdaughters Rebecca (Damon) Hatcherson of Hawthorne, CA and Teresa (Anthony) Hurtado of Brentwood, CA; sister Patricia “Patti” Smith of Milan; 9 step grandchildren; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Lauralouise Gorman; husband Richard Ontiveros; brothers Russell and James Gorman; and stepson Richard Ontiveros Jr.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Barb from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Barb to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
