(Westport, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) celebrated community health and connection this past weekend at the Westport Health & Business Expo, a free event that brought together local residents, healthcare professionals, and area businesses for a morning of wellness, food, and hometown pride.
As part of its ongoing commitment to community wellness, DCMH offered free flu vaccines for individuals six months and older, including high-dose options for adults 65 and older. All vaccines were provided at no cost to attendees.
In addition to the vaccination clinic, several DCMH departments were on-site to share health resources and connect with the community, including DCMH’s Cancer Care & Infusion Services, Decatur County EMS, Family Medicine, Immediate Care Clinic, Westport Clinic, and Wound Care Clinic.
Guests also enjoyed a free lunch provided by DCMH and prepared by the Westport Kiwanis Club, featuring hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, chips, and bottled water.
The event was rounded out by participation from local organizations and businesses that showcased their services, offered giveaways, and celebrated the spirit of collaboration that makes Westport special.
“We’re proud to be part of a community that values care and connection,” said Rex McKinney, President and CEO of DCMH. “Each time we come together, we strengthen the relationships that define who we are as a community.”
DCMH remains committed to supporting the health of Westport and surrounding communities, ensuring that preventive care and wellness resources remain accessible to all residents.
