Bonnie Jean Aylor, 80, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her home in Aurora, Indiana.
She was born October 6, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late George Ward and Ruth (Miller) Ward.
Bonnie was a 1959 graduate of Lawrenceburg High school, and enjoyed attending monthly lunches with her classmates throughout the years. As a young adult, she worked in her father’s car dealership and body shop, George S. Ward Sales & Service. She was a member of Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, the Daughters of the American Revolutions (DAR), as well as the Phi Beta Psi Sorority. As a teenager Bonnie was an active member of Hamline Chapel, and her dedication to Hamline continued throughout her life.
Bonnie loved playing golf and traveling with her husband, Howard. She was an avid reader and a die hard Bengal’s fan. She enjoyed watching the wildlife in their backyard and could identify every bird that came to the various feeders. Bonnie was an artist who loved to paint scenery. Most of all, she was proud of her family and looked forward to all the special times spent with them.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Howard Aylor; children, Jeffrey (Pam) Aylor of Columbus, OH, Mitch (Gerlinde) Aylor of Batesville, IN and Suzanna Aylor of Aurora, IN; brother, Gerald (Carol) Ward of Crest Hill, IL; grandchildren, Michael Aylor, Anna Aylor, Joshua Aylor, Shelby (Tanner) Kellerman, Daniel Aylor, Jacqueline Aylor, Matthew Aylor, Viktor Aylor, Austin Thies, Logan Thies; great-grandchild, Delilah Toney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth.
Friends will be received Thursday February 17, 2022 from 11:00-2 :00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
