Columbus, IN — A 17-year-old is dead after drowning near Columbus over the weekend.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says Tyrell Bowers went underwater in Tipton Lake swimming area around 10 pm Saturday and never resurfaced.
Conservation officers and other responders recovered Bowers’ body from the water an hour-and-a-half later.
The death remains under investigation.
