Ripley County Community Foundation Partners with Mainsource Bank and United Way to Support Local Non-Profits

All year long, the employees of MainSource Bank have been donating money to the United Way Fund to advance the common good in their local communities. In 2015, MainSource Bank and its Ripley County employees donated $14,000 into the United Way Fund held at the Ripley County Community Foundation.  This Christmas Season the Ripley County Community Foundation proactively granted those funds to local organizations which advance United Way’s mission to “improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.”

The organizations which received these grants and the amount received were: Batesville Area Ministerial Association (Food Pantry)-$1,600.00, Bridge of Hope Worship Center (Food Pantry)-$1,200.00, Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry-$1,200.00, Holton Food Pantry-$800.00, Milan Community Relief Services (Food Pantry)-$1,200.00, New Horizons Rehabilitation, Inc.-$76.72, Ripley County Food Pantry-$1,600.00, Safe Passage, Inc.-$2,737.93, Southeastern Indiana YMCA – $1,195.25, South Ripley Community School Corp. (Food Pantry)-$800.00, and Sunman Food Pantry-$1,600.00.

This show of corporate giving is evidence that an individual’s small donation will have a substantial impact when it is pooled together with the donations of others who support a common cause.
