Franklin County Sheriff releases November activity report

(Franklin County, IN) – Sheriff Pete Cates has released the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office activity report for November 2023.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 653 calls for service. Among the calls for service investigated were:

  • Property Damage Accidents 35
  • Personal Injury Accidents 8
  • Fatality Accident 1
  • Burglary/Theft 11
  • Residential/Business Alarms 18
  • Domestic Battery/Battery 14
  • 911 Hang Up/Accidental Dial 52
  • Suspicious Persons/Vehicles 25
  • Traffic Stops 170

A total of 24 arrests were made by deputies on the following charges:

  • Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated 3
  • Battery/Domestic Battery 2
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance 1
  • Possession of Marijuana 2
  • Driving While Suspended 1
  • Disorderly Conduct 1
  • Resisting Law Enforcement 1
  • Warrants 13

There was an average of 48 prisoners housed in the Security Center throughout the month of November. The maximum capacity of the Security Center is 75 inmates. Deputies drove a total of 24,692 miles. The Transport Officers drove an additional 3,980 miles, for a total of 28,672 miles. The Transport Officers conducted eight prisoner transports, transporting a total of eight prisoners to and from the Department of Corrections facilities throughout the States of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Additionally, deputies conducted one prisoner transport to a medical facility for conditions that could not be treated by jail doctors.

Forty-one civil process papers were served.
