South Decatur Elementary School has introduced a new fundraising program called My School Color Run. The My School Color Run program aims to go beyond traditional fundraising. Rather than sell goods, the program aims to engage the entire student body in a fitness initiative that aims to instill a life-long healthy way of living. On Sept. 3, at 9 a.m., the students, staff, and community of South Decatur Elementary School will walk, jog, and run their way toward a healthier life while raising funds for the PTO’s Playground Revitalization Project. The color run will be held at South Decatur Jr-Sr High School, and will be open to the public. This is an untimed fun run. Participants will pass through four color stations throughout the course and end with a massive color toss at the My Color Run Post-Race Party. Participants will be treated to refreshments, music, and fun following the run. Interested participants of all ages can register by visiting www.SouthDecaturMSCR.eventbrite.com, or by completing a paper registration form prior to the event.
