The Batesville Lady Bulldogs traveled to Milan Thursday night to take on the lady Indians in a non-conference match up. The lady Bulldogs score 3 runs in the 3rd inning and then held off an attack by the Indians in the 5th inning allowing 2 runs to score to win 3-2. Whitney Axsom stepped up in the 6th and 7th innings and shut the door forcing 3 strikeouts and 3 ground balls in the infield.
Top hitters for the Bulldogs were Kylie Paul, Whitney Axsom, and Sarah Meyer all going 2-3. Whitney Axsom had 1 RBI, and Sarah Meyer had 2 RBI’s.
The Bulldogs will host Connersville Saturday afternoon in a 4 pm game.
The Bulldogs are now 4-11 on the season.
