Free Preschool Program Offered At YMCA

BATESVILLE – The Southeastern Indiana YMCA is taking registrations for preschool for the 2014-2015 school year.

A grant from the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration allows the YMCA Learning Center to enroll twenty children into preschool at no cost.

An eligible child must have turned 4-years old by August 1. The program focused on Franklin and Ripley County residents requires the child to be 100 percent of poverty and cannot be currently on child care vouchers.

Bus transportation is available from centralized locations for the full day preschool program. The YMCA Learning Center is accredited and is evaluated by Indiana University. Children will participate in enrichment classes offered at the facility including weekly swimming, music, and Character Counts.

If your child meets the eligibility requirements contact the YMCA Learning Center at (812) 934-1415 for more information.
